Our Tanks
Get to know our two different types of float tanks
Watch Pods vs Suites
In this video, Joe, Float Evolution founder, discusses the differences between the Pods and Suites, helpful information for your first float, and how these tanks are kept clean.
the Pods
The “Float Pod” by Royal Spa is like a futuristic spaceship ready to transport you on a journey of relaxation and restoration. Often preferred by more avid floaters because of it’s cozy traditional tank feel, this tanks is best suited for single person use, although some couples have floated in it.
the Suites
The California Float Concepts “Orion Suites” are incredibly beautiful and the larger of our tanks offering standing room and a wide entrance for easy access. These tanks help even the most timid first-time floater the opportunity to feel comfortable and unafraid of being in a confined space. These tanks are also the best option for our couples float offering where you can float with a partner.
FAQ’s
-
There are 1000 pounds of medical-grade Epsom salt dissolved in each of our tanks. Salinity is at 1.30 grams per cubic centimeter. The solution is so high in saline that no living microorganism can survive there. After each session, the entire volume of the solution is pumped out and filtered through a three-part filtration and sterilization system utilizing Ultra Violet light and H2O2.
UV is the safest, most effective system available. It maintains the water’s soft, clean, and crystal clear appearance. In addition, all clients are required to shower before entering the tank.

Unless you’re over 7 feet tall or over 500 pounds, you’re good to go.

It’s not as scary as it looks. The space inside the flotation tank is approximately 4 wide by 8.5 feet long. You are in complete control and can open the door and go in/out as you’d like. You can even float with the door open. Since there is an absence of space, time, and sensation, it is difficult to feel claustrophobic within the tank.
